Iris
Sauber, creator/developer of the SellMORE® System
is a dynamic, high energy level, professional with a keen
ability to motivate and inspire. Moreover, she is expert
at imparting her knowledge and skills to others in an interesting,
light hearted, inclusive way-- engaging all who work with
her. Iris began her sales career at age eleven, selling
beaded jewelry she created, door-to-door to retailers.
She worked in various sales positions, while attending
school. After college, Iris spent more than
20 years in the Foodservice Equipment and Supply Industry. She
entered the industry in 1980, at a time when few women
were in it. She soon established herself as an exceptional
sales representative and moved through the ranks--inside
sales, outside sales, national accounts executive, national
accounts manager, oversaw the start up of a tele-sales
department and eventually was promoted to Director of
Sales
and on to VP, Sales and Marketing.
In
her positions in the equipment industry, more often
than not, Iris not only had sales responsibility, she
oversaw the start up of new facilities for her customers,
acting as general contractor or project manager,
working with plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors,
refrigeration mechanics and carpenters, to
insure accurate installations. Iris
was very involved in many organizations in the foodservice
industry. She was VP, Roundtable for Women in Foodservice;
Member, Food Industry Council; Member, Food Equipment
Dealers Association; and holds the highest level of certification
awarded by the North American Food Equipment Manufacturers
Association.
During
her tenure in the industry, she was instrumental in
achieving unprecedented growth for the companies she
worked with. One organization experienced
growth from $1.2M- $15.0 M in 9 years; another went
from $18M to $26M in 3 years. Iris gained experience
at all levels of the sales profession. She worked for
a dealer, a manufacturer, a distributor and a manufacturer's
rep group. She was responsible for the start up of
a tele-sales department which grew to more than $3M
in annual revenues by year two. Iris was consistently
the top performer every where she worked.
When
a buy out led to job loss, Iris decided to change
direction and start her own company, assisting
individuals and organizations in the areas
of business development, sales training and
mentoring, team building, customer service and
market strategizing. She offers public
and private workshops and seminars, public
speaking
addresses, and coaching. Her life coach
training is in the
new agreements model of coaching,
based on the work of Don Miguel Ruiz' The Four Agreements.
She assists her clients in staying focused to achieve their
highest aspirations.
She also works with small to mid size companies which may need
some assistance/guidance.
Additionally,
she is a certified Team Spirit (TM) Facilitator, having
trained with the originator, Dr. Barry Heerman. This
powerful series of workshops has been shown to
facilitate the creation of high performing teams and a culture
which is inclusive and open-- embracing and nurturing
the full expression of human potential. Thus, extraordinary
results have been achieved in places which have implemented
these ideas and techniques. Some of the organizations
which have experienced Team Spirit are: Ford Motor
Company, The Red Cross, AT& T, United Way and
many more. You can read more about Team Spirit at
its
original website.
In addition to her sales and business development experience,
Iris has worked with numerous non-profit organizations to assist
them with fundraising, sponsor and member recruitment and
community outreach. Included in
this work is a strong background in event planning and
execution. She serves on the Boards of two non-profit
organizations and does a great deal of community
service/volunteer work. Iris is an adjunct professor at
Anne Arundel Community College, where she teaches sales and
customer service courses, a member of the Baltimore
Worldwide Speakers Bureau, The Maryland Chapter of the American Society for
Training and Development, The Virtual Women's Chamber of
Commerce, The Maryland Professional Group, and the Association for Spirit At Work. She has a
BA in English and Sociology and an MBA. Most recently, Iris was
trained in the skill of facilitative mediation (conflict
resolution), as she believes
peaceful conflict resolution in our communities is a way to
practice her desire for world peace in her lifetime. She gives
the service of mediation as a volunteer at the Community
Mediation Program in Baltimore City.
Iris is married, has one grown
son, and a couple of 4 legged children-- her beloved cats. She
loves music, gardening, studying spirituality, and reading. She and her husband reside
in Baltimore, Maryland.
