As the Year Comes to an
End |
This is a busy season for everyone--holiday shopping,
visiting friends and loved ones, more business at work,
parties and celebrations and more. It's also a time
of reflection-- both personally and professionally. Many
of us take stock and mentally review the past year. We
assess what we have done, what we wanted to do, what we
have learned, where we have grown and make plans (and
sometimes resolutions) for what we want in the coming
year. (continued in next column)

Dear Iris,
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for
your business and support this past year. I look forward
to working with you in 2006. As part of my
professional growth, I will be pursuing the completion
of my certification as a life coach. I expect to have
the rest of my training and internship completed before
Summer. As part of my training requirements, I must
facilitate coaching sessions and document the hours. I
will be offering FREE coaching sessions to the first
five people who call to avail themselves to this
opportunity. If you have never worked with a coach, or
if you have and realized the benefits from it, this may
be of interest to you. While sessions won't begin until
January, I invite you to call as soon as possible--
first come, first served. I can be reached at 410-318-
8877 and look forward to hearing from you.

As The Year Comes to an End
(continued) |
As the year comes to a close and we reflect, it's a
good time to review our customer list. Most of us know
which customers are our 'best' customers and we may
(mentally) know about how much business they did with us
during the year. But, it's better to know exactly how
much business we got from our customers, what business
we may NOT have gotten from them, what their future
potential is and how we will better penetrate our
accounts and cultivate these relationships in the new
year.
Create a plan. It is crucial to your success!! Plan
your work and work your plan. Decide how you will
approach all of your customers, including those you may
have lost. Try to find a way to re-establish those
relationships. This is also the time to create a
plan for finding prospects and new customers as well.
(I would be more than happy to discuss various
ways to create and implement a work plan for your new
year).
